« I am really happy about this success», were the words of Dr Martin Rickert, SycoTec CEO and from then major shareholder of MICRO-MEGA, about the accomplished buyout of the 200 employee French Traditional Company. According to Dr Rickert, the family business which headquarters are situated in Besançon near the Swiss border and SycoTec have a perfect synergy. « There is no over-lap. We complement each other very well ».MICRO-MEGA is mainly known as a specialist of dental root canal instruments whereas SycoTec made his name as manufacturer of dental electric motors.
Besides product complementarities, both corporate cultures are compatible: both are based on traditions of family businesses.
« Our duty is to succeed, at least for our employees. » said Dr Martin Rickert.
The founder's family who owned MICRO-MEGA until now declared itself satisfied of the buyout by Dr Rickert. « With SycoTec, we have found a promising future with many prospects for MICRO-MEGA.» declared Mrs Jacqueline Baudoin-Garnier, representative of the assignors.
As it is usually the case, the amount of this transaction was not revealed.

For Dr Martin Rickert, the take-over of MICRO-MEGA is part of a development strategy for both firms and for the stabilization of the Besançon company counting around 200 employees. « Obviously, both businesses are not spared by the economic crisis. » said Dr Rickert who refers to the industrial changes one cannot escape as a supplier. According to him, it is a major point for a company to control its costs and to position itself in the medium term. « My goal is to place both companies on wider bases. That will provide us better stability in times of crisis. »

About MICRO-MEGA:
In 1907 MICRO-MEGA manufactured its first nerve broach. Until today, this company has enjoyed a good international reputation as a dental instruments specialist. The founder's family was looking for an industrial buyer well established in the dental market and with an industrial and sale strategy in which MICRO-MEGA would have its place. Indeed, maintaining the premises in Besançon was essential for the founder's family.
MICRO-MEGA has more than 200 employees and has its headquarters in Besançon.
