Advice : Prolong the life of your handpieces and contra-angles by :
• Regular and meticulous maintenance.
• Using quality burs.
• Use a motor in good condition.
• Do not use if the contra-angle gets excessively hot.
• For treatments exceeding 15 minutes, repeat lubrification.
Cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation instructions for root canal instruments :
1. Before immersion in the cleaning/disinfecting bath,
instruments must be sorted out by type and material. Any
inappropriate mixing of instruments in the bath might cause
discolouration.
2. Concentration, contact time, temperature and time
of the cleaning/disinfecting bath must comply with
the manufacturer instructions. If instructions are not
followed, unexpected reactions might occur, depending
on the concentration of the chemical used ; this can cause
disappearance of the marking and colours on the active part
of the handle. We recommend using an ultrasonic bath
which reduces the cleaning/disinfecting time.
3. Thoroughly rinse with either a specific rinsing solution
or alcohol combined with demineralised or softened water,
in order to limit any corrosive action during sterilisation.
4. Using an autoclave can modify the appearance
of the instruments but without harming their functionality.
Before sterilisation, instruments must be dried with dry air.
