THE GARNIER FACTORY
In 1905 Etienne Garnier created his clock-making spare parts workshop in the French city of Besançon, the cradle of clock-making. But shortly after his start-up, the founder of Micro-Mega embarked on a slightly different adventure…
THE FIRST NERVE BROACH
A dentist friend asked Mr Garnier to design a tiny instrument for cleaning out root canals.First prototypes left the workshop and brought a worldwide reputation to the family business.
EXPANSION
Two new workshops are developed rue du tunnel in Besançon. Etienne’s son, Marcel Garnier, took over the factory 3 years earlier.
MICRO-MEGA IS BORN
The Etienne Garnier & Fils company become Micro-Mega (for “Micro Mécanique Garnier”). Garnier’s son will remain in the company until 1996.
GIROMATIC
The first contra-angle for the mechanical preparation of root canals, still used by thousands of dentists throughout the world.
PASTINJECT
The helical shape creates a translational movement, facilitates transport and ensures perfect placement of the filling material
